Job Description:

The Fast Track Claims Adjuster program is an accelerated, entry-level training path that develops new talent into fully licensed claims professionals—no prior claims experience required. Under the guidance of experienced adjusters and management, participants train to handle a caseload of claims of varying complexity, including investigating loss, determining coverage, coordinating medical care, supporting litigation, assessing damages, negotiating settlements, identifying fraud, and utilizing authorized vendors. All file handling must be within state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines, and NARS Best Practices. This is a paid training position. Obtaining the required state adjuster license within 90 days of hire is a condition of continued employment. Upon successful licensing and completion of the program, participants are positioned for advancement into a Claims Adjuster I role. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include travel.

90-Day Licensing Requirement (Condition of Employment):

  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining the required state adjuster license (e.g., Florida All-Lines Adjuster “6-20” license, or the applicable jurisdictional license) within 90 calendar days of the date of hire.
  • NARS provides study materials, exam preparation resources, and study support to help participants pass the licensing exam within the 90-day window.
  • Participants are expected to schedule and sit for the licensing exam promptly and to maintain the license in good standing thereafter.
  • Failure to obtain the required license within the 90-day period may result in separation from employment.

Qualification Requirements:

Education / Licensing:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or higher preferred.
  • No prior claims adjusting experience required — we train you.
  • Must be able to obtain a Florida Adjuster's license or other required jurisdictional licensing within 90 days of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Technical Skills:

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow structured processes and guidelines.
  • Requires excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with computer systems and learning new claims software.

Abilities:

  • Requires long periods of sitting.
  • Must be willing to attend local NARS office meetings, on occasion.
  • Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
  • May require lifting of files and boxes up to approximately 20 pounds.
  • Regular use of keyboard, mouse, computer, and exposure to computer screens.
